A team from Tensing and a team from the European Space Agency were standing at the finish line of this Tour de France race with a laptop. Both dedicated to test the revamped European GPS-system, Galileo.Sydney Water
Tough Aussies may not admit it, but they even sometimes like to take a shower, especially after a long day of crocodile hunting and kangaroo catching. And it would be nice to have reliable running water. Sydney Water takes care of running water part and we’ve helped with the reliability.
Heineken
Happy hour goers rejoice: we’re keeping the beer coming! The Heineken-tap team maintains the tap installations in more than 25,000 restaurants, bars, pubs and more in the Netherlands. To keep the beer flowing engineers are on the road and at work all the time and all over the country. You can imagine the logistic and administrative challenges this presents to an organization.
Coffee
Every day we drink lots of coffee at Tensing. Cappuccino, latte, espresso or just plain black coffee, pick your poison. A good coffee machine is crucial in Tensing’s building and it is well appreciated by every one. But watch out if the machine is not working.
Light
A transformer blows out and you are left without lights. A field service engineer is sent out by your electric company right away to restore power, but they can’t find the transformer, which have a nasty habit of being in the middle of a field or forest rather than a street. The field service engineer could easily fix the outage if only he could find the transformer more quickly.
